Clean Coal and Nuclear Energy are technologies we have now to combat climate change. Clean coal allows the theoretical recapture of carbon emissions when coal is burned, making an abundant natural resource into an efficient and environmentally friendly one. Nuclear energy has existed for over half a century, and has recently come back into focus as being a "clean" technology. While it outputs radioactive fuel as a byproduct of the power generation, it has no effect on the climate and has no other harmful waste products other than water.
